Scott was raised in the funeral industry in Redding, California, and is a licensed funeral director. He earned a B.A. degree from Brigham Young University in 1992 and an M.S. from Northwestern University in 1994. Scott has held corporate marketing, sales and advertising positions with WordPerfect, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Ohio, Utah State University, Staples Business Advantage, and Batesville Casket Company. He is a former journalist in the United States Naval Reserve, a charter member of the Greater Spokane Valley Rotary Club, Spokane Valley Kiwanis Club member, and former board member on the Spokane Execs Association. In 2014, Scott, his wife Laura, and their children relocated from Pittsburgh to Spokane, where they enjoy sandy lake beaches, kayaking and movie night.

Colin was born in New Westminster, BC, Canada to American and British parents. He started in Funeral Service in 1999 earning his Associates Degrees in Funeral Direction and Embalming. Colin then moved to Spokane to marry the most wonderful woman in the world and they welcomed two tortoises and two pug dogs - Max and Levi -into their home. He is active in Kiwanis and several volunteer activities and Colin is very passionate about his volunteer work with marginalized people - though 90% of his social life is with the Spokane Pug Group.

Serving the Spokane Catholic community since 1997, Aileen G. Fields SFO, has joined Hennessey Funeral Homes as an Ambassador and licensed pre-need funeral planner. Former Parish Council member at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, Development Officer at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center and Marketing/Sales Representative for Catholic Cemeteries, Aileen is the owner of Abbas Catholic Bookstores in Spokane, recently franchising Abbas into Coeur d’Alene. Aileen has a special love for taking care of families and their needs at the end of life and is currently working to become accredited as a Funeral Director. Aileen also serves the Catholic Priesthood by fostering and promoting vocations to the Priesthood as a Serran. She is Serra Internationals District Governor for all of Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho, the Program Chair for the Serra USA Council, and a member of the Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church Advisory Council as well. In her free time, Aileen is an avid canner in summer, specializing in salsa and spaghetti sauce, and raises Doberman Pinschers.

Susie represents the fourth generation to work for Hennessey Funeral Home. She graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1980 and attended Gonzaga University, Spokane Falls Community College and Spokane Community College. Susie has lived in several places, including Dutch Harbor, Arkansas, Seattle, and Portland, but returned home to Spokane to raise her son Charlie and to be with family and enjoy the perks of Spokane. She loves the four seasons here and enjoys living so close to lakes and winter sports.

Comfort Dog

Named after the late Chuck Hennessey, "Paddy" is our comfort dog in training. He is a hypo-allergenic, non-shedding medium labradoodle born on April 20, 2016. We are excited to have him at the funeral home on Pines Road. Families we serve appreciate his love and affection.
