In Celebrating the life of David I. Mckee, Jr.
David went to his heavenly home on February 21, 2018. Dave will be missed by his wife Paula of 30 years, and all his family and friends.
Dave was born in Oklahoma City on November 4, 1943 to David McKee Sr. and Lorene Fionelle. His family then moved to Daly City, California, when he was four years old. He completed his schooling there with one year of college. He then became an employee of Pacific Gas and Electric as a utility maintenance worker. In 1988 he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when he went on disability, later to retire in 2008.
His love for his family was his greatest passion of all, and always gave them all his heart and mind...always making sure they were doing well.
Dave was truly an outdoorsman and his passions were hunting, fishing and walking the mountain terrains. During his times hunting, he collected his mounted trophies and his favorite was his caribou he got on his Alaska trip. Also, he was pretty proud of his javelina when he went hunting in Arizona with some friends. Dave loved to bass fish and spent many hours on the water competing in bass tournaments.
Dave leaves behind three children: Mike, Sharon Bickel, Gregg. He also had three step-children: Tammi Gibbar, Vance and Mitch Vogel. Together they shared 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; His sister Gayle Clima with her husband Paul, live in Boise ID. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and his son Raymond Lee who died at age 26.
Celebration services will be held March 18th 1:30 – 3: 30 at the Center Place 2426 N Discovery Place, Spokane Valley Washington. Please let family by by March 9th. If you would like to join us.
In honor of my Husband Dave
30 years where did it go
They have all melted away like snow
Leaving treasured memories behind
That caused our love and lives to grow
Memories of joys
Memories of tears
Treasured memories that have lasted through the years
life together caused us to see
How life can truly be
How to love in times that were great
How to love through life’s pain
I will miss you my love
And hold you dear in my heart
You will always be close even though we are apart
Walk run hunt and have fun
With the mighty precious Holy One
