Joseph Eugene Drury

Joseph E. Drury “Joe”, Spokane, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017 with the love of his wife and family at his side.

Joe was born in Troy, Montana and grew up in both Spokane and Troy.  He went on to serve in the Army and was honorably discharged with a sharpshooter decoration.  He married his wife Linda in 1965 and they called Spokane home from that day forward.  He worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 36 years, retiring in 2001.

Joe loved his family and friends.  He also loved cheering on his children, grandchildren and nieces.  Joe embraced hard work and would do anything for others.  He always cared for everyone around him.  He was also an avid outdoorsman, a talented mechanic and dedicated Steelworker’s union member.

Joe is survived by his loving companion, Linda; daughter, Cindy Hoadley (Marty); son, Joe (Mary); sister, Shirley Sample; brother, Don; four very special grandchildren, Joey, Matt, Mariah and Julia; three very special nieces, Jeanie, Debbie and Anna; and nephews Mark, John, Michael, Victor and Richard.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Jim; and his sister Norma Noyes. 

Funeral services and reception will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, February 25th at Hennessey Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley.
