We celebrated your 50th birthday with Marc, Elise, and Adam in the little town of Leavenworth this past weekend. We enjoyed the holiday lights, the snowbanks, the mountains, and the quirky shops, knowing that you would too. We also played a few rounds of Scribblish at the condo and laughed a lot. We miss you something terrible, but we felt a connection with you every time we saw something funky in a shop and said, "Karin would love that", and when we enjoyed your artwork and humor that was still to be found on the old game cards.

“It’s a hard way to come home. You’ve got me on my knees. The walls are tumbling down, they’re falling like the leaves. I feel your presence everywhere..in the corner over there. Turn your eyes from me, it’s time for me to go. Across the hills and over the sea, I miss (want) you more than you know…”
At a complete loss for what to do…much personal anguish.
God’s Speed Adam and Elise. You are both blessed with a lot of natural talent. Please be strong like your mom taught you to be!!!

My deepest sympathy to family and friends. I am just dumbfounded and depressed that I will no longer get the opportunity to work with Karin. She and I shared a type of bond because we spell our names the same and both worked for regulatory environmental agencies - but she was not happy that we pronounced our names differently. : ) I always knew when someone was working with Karin because they would mispronounce my name, and visa versa. Karin was great to work with and a strong force for fish habitat protection. Her influence in the Spokane area will go on. God bless.

Adam and Elise-
I think you know your mom meant a lot to me. She was a sweet and loving friend and I always admired the way she made a point to spend quality time with each of you. You are both amazing people, and stronger than you know. Remember that.
I will always remember picking up toads and laughing with her while we did flamulated owl surveys, the many long conversations we had, and the sweet funny voices she used when talking to the cat or the chickens or the dog.
I love you both and I am here if you need to talk, or not talk, depending on the day.

Goodbye to my dear sister. I will always miss you and will keep you in my memory whenever I see something amazing in the outdoors. I am beyond sadness that we won't be able to share those wonders any more. The holidays, the summer cabin, and fall pumpkin hunts will never be the same without you.

Love,

We are in shock and bereaved to hear about Karin's sudden passing and offer our most heartfelt condolences to her family . We remember karin's friendly smile and high interest and support into her daughter's endeavors .We are comforted at the thought of having provided her the joy of seeing her beautiful daughter's face immortalized in the production of a local short film she starred in ,and treasure the memory of the radiant smiles and beautiful appearance of both mother and daughter dressed to the nines ( as for a gala ) at the private screening in September 2017 ....such a precious celebration for both mother and daughter.... Please accept our prayers and words of gratitude for Karin's loving presence in our lives....she now shines with us......Michele & Christopher Lamb
