Mary G. Borrell

Mary G. Borrell was born in South Charleston, West Virginia, August 4th, 1941. She grew up in West Virginia and Texas, attending many different schools around the country as her Dad was a brick layer and they moved often for his work.  Mary attended Western Washington University and graduated with her Accounting Degree in 1965. Mary and her family moved to Yakima in 1966, and married Winton Borrell in 1978. They lived in Yakima, Washington where they were both realtors at Borrell Realty. Mary also worked as an accountant for the Farm Workers Clinic for many years.  They moved to Olympia in 1983 so they could travel in their boat around Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands in their off time. They both loved entertaining friends and family on their boat.   Mary worked at Olympia Anesthesia Associates in Olympia and was the Accountant/Manager from 1983 until retiring in 2000. Mary and Winton moved to Spokane in 2001 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Mary loved cooking, playing Bridge, and she had a passion for animals.  She rescued several small dogs from local shelters. 

Predeceased by Winton Borrell and her sister Eleanor Little. Surviving loved ones include her brother Jim Joyner, son Clinton J. Herbst, and daughter Lisa J. Dumais and their families.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spokane Humane Society or SCRAPS.
