Oleta Ann Gibler

Oleta Ann (Leta) Gibler  Born 12/15/1940 in Fort Worth Texas To Emma Addy Hood and Donald Lester Hood . Her family moved to Spokane when she was a baby. After graduating from Lewis and Clark High School she worked for General Telephone Co.  Leta was very active in basketball and softball and played in a women’s soft ball league in Spokane. At times the team would travel across the State to play games. She met and married David Gibler in 1962. After birth of their daughter Kerri she became a homemaker full time. They lived in the Spokane Valley except for a year in Mountain View California. She was preceded in death by her parents Emma and Donald Hood, brother’s Chuck, Donald and Eddie Hood. She leaves behind Brother Jack Hood {Martha}, sister-in-law’s Georgia {Pete} and Marybell, daughter Kerri {Darren}, son Keith {Daphne}. Granddaughter’s Emily, Kayla {Dan] and Meagan. Five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  And special friend Jeannine Sigler. At Leta’s request there will be no service.  Memorial donations may be made to a Charity of your choice, Hospice of Spokane, or Cancer Care Northwest.
