Russell William Beseler

Russell William Beseler passed away peacefully at home in Spokane Valley with his wife and children by his side. Russell was born on March 29, 1949 in Chelan WA to Donald (Bill) and Marcia Beseler.

In his early years Russell briefly attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point before joining the United States Navy in 1968. He served aboard the USS Forrestal and was honorably discharged in 1971.

Russell is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Beseler (Engel), his son William, his daughter Terri (Jacques) LaFave and his granddaughter Harper. He is also survived by his father Donald Beseler, sister Vicky (Terry) VanStraten and brother Richard (Lisa) Beseler as well as an aunt, uncle cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Marcia Beseler.

Russell loved hunting, fishing, gold panning and riding his motorcycles. He was happiest when he was outdoors doing the things he loved.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Hennessy Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA. A military honors service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the WA State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 West Espanola Road, Medical Lake, WA at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the American Diabetes Association in Russell’s name.
