Anthony Caruso

Born September 25, 1946 in Spokane, Washington to Mario V. and Margaret Caruso, Anthony, “Papa Tony”, Enrico Caruso passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 in Pierre, South Dakota of natural causes.  Loving, generous and possessing a great sense of humor, Anthony was ‘a jack of all trades and a master of none, but often times better than a master of one’.  He attended St. Anne’s Catholic School, North Central High School, as well as trade schools.  He married the love of his life Rozanne Marie Caruso (Finke), August 14, 1971 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spokane Valley, Washington.  Anthony loved woodworking, hunting, the great outdoors and his granddaughters.  He will be greatly missed.  Anthony is survived by his wife Rozanne Marie Caruso, Spokane Valley, WA; one son Michael A. (Anne R.) Caruso, Loon Lake, WA; one daughter Mary M. (Jeffery A.) Smith, Waynesville, MO; one brother Anthony Pat Caruso, Spokane, WA; one sister Judy Hemmert, Valley Ford, WA and eight Grandchildren. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, the Rosary begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spokane Valley, Washington.  The Committal and Burial is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., also on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Spokane Valley, WA.  The family requests Memorial Gifts be made to the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center.
