Cecelia Anne Mayer

Cecelia Anne Mayer went to her eternal home on October 12th, 2018 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Cecelia also known as Annie was born on April 21, 1980 to Joseph and Esther “Joyce” Mayer of Spokane Washington.

Our loving sister and daughter is survived by her parents and her siblings, Patricia (Steve) Kelly, Susan Mayer, David Mayer, Francis (Nathan) Bakke, and Janet Mayer-Walsh. She is also survived by three nephews, three nieces, and a large network of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and a small nephew.

Annie was a generous person and protective of her family. When you needed a shoulder to cry on, she was always there. Annie enjoyed going on family picnics, walks on the levee, singing karaoke, collecting comic books, and going to the movies. Her quirky sense of humor and odd jokes brought a smile to everyone’s face. She enjoyed baking for everyone and sewing gifts.

Annie was a strong independent woman. When anybody told her “that only a man could do that,” she became determined to prove them wrong. This determination enabled her to earn her degree in structural engineering and develop a successful career.

Annie will be greatly missed. A vigil and rosary will be held on October 26th at 6:00pm at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Uniontown Washington. The following day her funeral and committal will be at 11 am on October 27th at St Boniface Catholic Church.
