Born August 2, 1953, at the US Naval Station Hospital AFB in Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada to Wayne and Carol Setzer, Darcy Lynn Setzer-Lonam passed away after a 5-month battle on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Spokane, Washington. Darcy was a graduate from the Class of 1971 at Central Valley High School and from there went on to complete her AA Degree at Spokane Community College. She became the Health Unit Coordinator at the Valley Hospital from 1981 to 1998. It was during this time she met married the love of her life, Matthew Lonam, October 13, 1984, in South Lake Tahoe. In 1999 through 2003 Darcy worked at Deaconess Hospital. After the hospital she began a new career in the Insurance industry where she served as a Client Service Rep. for Blasingame Insurance, CIG Insurance and most recently for WHAIVE Insurance. A wonderful mother, wife and companion Darcy was an absolute blessing to her exceptionally large family. She loved music, dance, making ceramics and soap, tending to her flowers, yard and interior decorating the home. Darcy also loved to crochet, quilt and travel. Darcy was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Carol Setzer and one brother Bruce Setzer. Darcy is survived by her husband Matthew Lonam of Millwood WA; Three sons Corey Thompson (Amelia) of Millwood WA, Jeremy Thompson (Jenny) of Renton WA and Kevin Lonam of Millwood WA; One brother Brett Setzer (Chrystelle) of Priest River, ID; One sister Randi Fish – Setzer of Tucson, AZ; Three Grandchildren Zach and (Molly) Frye, Maddison Thompson; Several in-laws, 34 nieces and nephews including 14 Great nieces and nephews. Services begin Friday, December 10th with a Viewing from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continue Saturday, December 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 North Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. Saturday, December 11th the Funeral Service begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by a full reception also at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. At 2:30 p.m. the burial and committal will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Trent Avenue in Spokane Valley, WA.
