Donald John Jaworski

Born September 17, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to Casimer and Irene Jaworski, Donald “Don” Jaworski passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 in Liberty Lake, Washington.  After a long, hard battle with cancer and other ailments, Don has at last gone home.  After graduating from high school, Don joined the U.S. Marine Corp, served a tour of duty in Vietnam, and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant after 13 years. After his honorable discharge, Don continued to serve his country in a civil service capacity as a Job Developer for 25+ years, as well as the Catholic faith as a Knights of Columbus.  Don loved his “Chicago Bears”, church, playing cribbage and spoiling the Great grandchildren, whom called him Great PAPA.   Don is survived by one daughter Heidi Watkins of Liberty Lake, WA; one sister Arleene McTague of Crystal Lake, IL, one Grandchild, two Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Casimer and Irene and brother, Bruce.  Memorial donations can be made to Kindred Hospice of Liberty Lake, WA.  A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Spokane Valley, WA followed by a 12:30 p.m. Committal service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Spokane Valley, WA.  To share memories of Don and leave condolences for the family and share memories of Don, please visit his Tribute Wall
