Elaine Nale

Martha “Elaine” (Hromyak) Nale, age 78 of Rathdrum, Idaho peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 with family by her side.

Elaine was born August 24, 1943 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to John and Mary Hromyak.  When Elaine was seven years old, she moved to Taft, California with her parents and older brother, John “Sonny”.  While growing up, she enjoyed social activities and dancing with her friends. Elaine graduated from Taft High School and earned a degree from Taft College. She often recalled and was very fond of her upbringing in the small town of Taft.

When Elaine was a senior in high school she met the love of her life, Keith Nale, and they married in 1964.  Keith and Elaine lived in the cities of Downey and Cypress (CA) before settling in Fountain Valley, California to raise their three children.

In 1969, Elaine and her family became founding members of Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Anaheim, California. Elaine had a deep love for the Byzantine Catholic Church and serving our Lord.  She made a positive difference in so many lives.

Elaine worked as a secretary for the Standard Oil Company, McDonnell Douglas and Cypress College before starting and running a successful secretarial business for years. Her attention to detail, organizational skills and perfect grammar contributed to her professional reputation.

In 1999, Keith and Elaine moved to Rathdrum, Idaho to enjoy the wide open spaces during retirement.  They continued their faith and became members of Saints Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Keith; three children, Steve, Susan and Scott; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Rebekah, Marissa, Brian, Katerina, Neo and Ava; and two great-grandchildren, Emersyn and Asher.

Despite being challenged with health issues for years, Elaine remained keenly aware of daily events, her family and friends.  She always showed her love and faith. Elaine was a beloved wife, mother and friend.  She will be truly missed until we meet again.
