Elmer Hauff, 82 of Spokane Valley, WA, formerly of St. Anthony, ND, passed away in Spokane, WA, on April 20, 2018. He was born in Golden Valley, ND, to John and Irene Hauff July 31, 1935. Elmer grew up on a farm in Golden Valley, ND. He married Darleen Biffert on June 12, 1959 in Glen Ullin, ND. Elmer was drafted into the army in 1957 where he spent time in Germany. He was a telegrapher/clerk for the railroad for 36 years, retiring from the BNSF. Elmer also farmed in St. Anthony, ND, where he resided until 2016 when he moved to Spokane Valley, WA, to be closer to his family. Elmer had a great love for his family. He loved to do carpentry along with many other hobbies. He had a great sense of humor and always a friendly smile. He loved spending time with his family and pranking around with his grandson. Elmer was very active right up till the end. He is survived by his wife, Darleen, daughter Cheryl (Dave) Peterson, Marvin Hauff, and Mark (Dawn) Hauff and his beloved grandson Daniel Hauff, two brothers, Reinhold Hauff, Leroy Hauff and one sister Phylis Graves.
