Eric Eugene Gray

Eric passed away peacefully after being in the hospital for 12 days. He had not been well for quite a while. Ultimately, his kidneys and liver failed, and the damage was too much for his body.

Eric was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. He was born in Deer Park, WA.  Eric attended Deer Park High School and Chewelah High School. He later attended Angell Job Corps in Yachats, Oregon for Culinary Arts. Eric had most recently cooked at Broadway Court Estates and True Legends Grill.

Eric enjoyed cooking for others-you were always full after eating Eric’s food. Eric enjoyed fishing with his son, Korben, and wished he would have gone more. Eric had a great sense of humor, some called it dry humor-either way, he was funny. He always had a dad joke ready. Eric was an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints. He also enjoyed watching WWE, he knew everything about those wrestlers.

To his mother, Eric was always her sunshine. He was not only a father figure to his son but also to his younger brother, Cody, growing up without a dad. From the fishing lessons and how to use a pocketknife, to the vast education on wrestling. Eric played an integral part in all our lives and in many ways unique to each person. Looking back, how lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

Eric is survived by his wife, Kim; son, Korben and stepdaughter, Ellsbeth (Chris Wilder). Eric leaves behind his mom, Brenda Allen; brother, Cody Fawver and nieces, Jordyn, Shelby and Skylar and many more extended family and friends.

Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Eric on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 1pm-4pm at the Whimsical Pig Clubhouse, 13303 E Mission Ave, Spokane Valley, WA. Feel free to come whenever during this time to enjoy some food, share stories, memories or even a joke.
