Eric Matthew Griffey

Eric Matthew Griffey, 46, passed away on June 21, 2022, in Spokane, Washington. He was born to Richard Griffey and Ellen Juhl (Olson) on April 18, 1976, in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Eric resided in Cheney for the past year though most of his life was split between River Falls, WI, Spokane, WA, and Coeur d’Alene, ID. Eric was very intelligent and could figure out almost anything. He was a hardworking painter, excellent drywaller and jack of all trades; a master of his craft- a perfectionist- who took great pride in his work. He was a great friend, giving and attentive when he wanted to be. Eric enjoyed working on cars, hunting, and fishing.

Eric is survived by his son, Leo Anthony Griffey-Byram of River Falls, WI; brothers, Michael Zuidema and Kenneth Griffey; sister, Shanamarie Robinson (Ronald II); mother, Ellen Juhl (Rickie); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Griffey; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Virginia Griffey; and maternal grandparents, Lenwood and Gladys Olson.

While his family understands and is grateful he is finally free of the struggles of this life, they will love and miss him forever.
