Lived in Spokane Valley, WA passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Spokane Hospice South of natural causes. He was born on August 18, 1936 in Polson, Montana to the late Oscar and Gladys (Connerley) Diedrich. He went to school in St. Ignatius, Montana.

Dee joined The United States Air Force in 1953, a Vietnam War Veteran and retired after 24 years as First Sargent.  He went to college and got an AA degree in Business Management. He became a flatbed, long haul, owner-operator truck driver for many years, and worked at a parts store stocking and delivering then retired fully at the age of 77.

Dee enjoyed the outdoors, fly fishing, camping, and hunting and taking road trips with his family. He always love being around family and holiday gatherings.

Dee is survived by his wife, of 48 years Mepa Diedrich, His sister Judy Ashcroft, his children; Kim (Dan) Taylor, Aroon (Tessa) Diedrich, Tina (Lyle)  Thomas , Arun Diedrich, Ricky (Patsy) Diedrich, Aree (Jim) Tenney, Fritz (Ran) Mortisette, Newt (Bruce) White, Dee Dee (Matthew) McGowan, 2 nephews, a niece, 2 great nieces, a great nephew, 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2pm at The Hennessy Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. If you have military dress uniform to wear would be much appreciated. Otherwise, any and all bright colors to be worn, Dee always enjoyed everything colorful.

Reception following, 5pm at The Cathay Inn, 3714 N Division St, Spokane, WA 99207.

 All are Welcome to join eat and share stories in celebrating Dee’s life.

Interment and Military Honors Ceremony is on Tuesday, November 13th at 11:15am at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
