Helen Irene Petrousek

Helen Petrousek, 94 years old, a resident at Good Samaritan in Spokane Valley, Washington, died suddenly on December 13, 2018.  Helen was born in Berwyn Illinois on September 21, 1924 to Kenneth and Teresa Hawley.  After attending Coe College in Iowa for two years, she married her life-long love, Mac Petrousek.  They were together for 73 years.  Mac and Helen moved to the Spokane area in 1980.  They had many friends in the Good Samaritan community, where Helen played bingo, Wii bowling, enjoyed coloring and time with friends and family.  Cheerful positive and kind, Helen was loved by many.  Her beloved son, Jim, preceded her in death.  She is survived by her husband of 73 years Mac, son Pete (Arlene), Sandy (Dick) and 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.   A Celebration of Life and Reception will be held at Good Samaritan in Spokane Valley, Washington, Sunday January 27, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. 17121 East 8th Avenue.
