Born May 5, 1961 in Spokane, Washington to Patrick and Sharon DeFrancesco, James “Jimmy D” Patrick DeFrancesco passed away unexpectedly at his Spokane Valley home Thursday, February 4, 2021. A graduate of East Valley High School, Jimmy D began work at 14 years old as a Box Boy with Rosauers’ Grocery Stores, moving up to the status of Clerk and continuing to be employed there for 44 years. A sports enthusiast who loved wrestling, Notre Dame, Green Bay Packers and the Lakers, Jimmy D and his mother would often watch the games together. He was a fun loving, outgoing and friendly person who help anyone in need. Jimmy D was a real people person who loved to kid around and always had a smile on his face before he spoke. He was generous and gave so many donations and monetary gifts to several churches and non-profits of all kinds over the years. He loved his grandpa, grandma and his favorite sister Shari who he named “Muff” and all his cats and dogs. He will be greatly missed! Jimmy D is survived by his parents Patrick and Sharon DeFrancesco; Three sisters Shari Howard, Jeany Smith and Kelly Smith; Nieces and Cousins. A Private Family Viewing is being held on Wednesday, February 17 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home in Spokane Valley, WA and burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane, Wa.
