Born November 5, 1927, in Ralls, Texas to Herbert Green and Babe Ruth Walker, Jerry O’Neal Walker passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, from complications with dementia. A fifty-nine year resident of Spokane Valley, Washington, Jerry honorably served in the United States Navy in 1945, then became a United States Postal Service Mail carrier, serving the Spokane community until he became disabled and later retired. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Babe Ruth Walker; two daughters Tina Walker Gibson and Kaye Schones and son Kerry Glenn Walker; five brothers Billy Walker-the Country singer, Jimmy, Curtis, Ennis, and Delmar (Buddy) and one sister Patricia Walker. He is survived by his wife Emma Lou Walker; son Larry Walker; two step-sons Arlen Herrington and Bradford Herrington; stepdaughter Susan Herrington Taylor; two daughters Becky Walker Larivee and Loretta Walker Thompson; and one last surviving sister who lives in Colorado, Dorothy White.
