Karen Joyce Goyins
July 3, 1941 ~ January 24, 2024 (age 82) 82 Years Old
Born July 3, 1941 in Moscow, Idaho to Harold and Dorothy Horn, Karen J. Goyins passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in Spokane Valley, Washington. A graduate of Central Valley High School, Karen was married to her first husband, Melvin Haase, whom passed away and her second husband, now deceased, Gary Goyins. Karen was the secretary for Grinnell Fire Protection and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church. Karen loved her friends at the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, and she liked to play pinochle, watch the Game Show channel, gardening, quilting and making cookies with her granddaughters. Karen is survived by two sons Brian (Linda) Haase and Craig Haase; One daughter Amber (Will) Schilling; one brother Gary Horn; One sister Marilyn Wetzke; Four grandchildren Jessica Clifford, Ashley Haase, Mikaela Foster, Jacob Haase and Five great-grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Dorothy Horn. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N.
