Father Kevin Vaillancourt (Father Thomas Marie) of Spokane WA. went to meet the choirs of heavenly Angels on the feast of St. Raphael the Archangel on October 24, 2022. He was born on the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, September 8, 1954, to Edward and Frances Vaillancourt in Glendale, CA and was the youngest of five children. While in Glendale High School, Kevin was an animate football player then at the age of 18, Fr. Kevin dedicated his life to God and entered the seminary, which brought him to Coeur d’Alene, ID. He continued his service to God as an active priest until his retirement due to health conditions in 2014. During his time as a Traditional Catholic Priest, Fr. Kevin traveled on missions to spread the teachings of Christ, to say mass, and bring the sacraments to many states throughout the US and to countries including Europe and Australia. He had a natural curiosity and his intense love of research led him to his role as editor and publisher of many Catholic works including those published through OLG Press and The Catholic Voice.
Fr. Vaillancourt leaves behind his only surviving sibling, Julie Lynn Jacobs, as well as a very large loving family of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many children of God he baptized into the church. The family of Fr. Kevin wishes to thank all his loyal friends and family who continued to visit with him while he was in the care facility. The family would also like to thank the staff at The Gardens on University who took such great care of Fr. Kevin while a resident there the last 6 years.
