Leonard John Welch

Born October 3, 1946 to Clarence and Catherine (Vivars) Welch in Santa Monica, California, Leonard John Welch passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Spokane Valley, Washington.  A high school graduate and a successful, self-employed carpenter, Leonard married Joan Lenhart April 6, 2012.  Social, kind, compassionate, cheerful and charming, Leonard loved watching movies, traveling and playing cards.  He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventists in Santa Monica, CA and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.  Leonard is survived by three sons Leonard Welch II, John Edge Allen III and Danny Garrison; two daughters Lisa White, Darla Garrison and one brother Don Welch; nine grandchildren Spencer Welch, Justin Welch, Bobbi Welch, Leonard Welch III, Savanna Zepeda, Sterling Zepeda, James Allen, Jonathan Allen IV,  Sheena Garcia and 11 great-grandchildren.  Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Catherine Welch, his wife Joan Welch and grandson Sean Garrison.
