Lois Elaine Peck

February 8, 1941 ~ January 18, 2022 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Tribute

Lois Elaine (Wilson) Peck, 80, died unexpectedly on January 18, 2022, at her home in Spokane, Washington. Lois was born to William C. (Jack) and Catherine Wilson on February 8, 1941, in Missoula, Montana.

Lois grew up in Charlo, MT and attended Western Montana College and University of Montana to earn her undergraduate diploma in Education.  She then obtained her Master's degree in Education from Gonzaga University in 1978.  She began her elementary education career in Libby, MT, teaching at Lincoln, McGrade and Central elementary schools.  It was in Libby, where she met her husband Mike. They were married on August 25, 1963. While in Libby, MT, they raised their two daughters, Tracy and Lisa, until retiring from teaching, in Montana, in 1989.

Lois and Mike left Libby and relocated to Spokane, WA in 1989.  Lois continued her teaching career for another 15 years at Pasadena Park Elementary until her final retirement in 2006.  Teaching was her lifelong passion and Lois enjoyed running into her former students later in life.  She was an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma teaching sorority during the course of her career and retirement.

In her free time, Lois enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughters and their families and, most of all, her three grandkids. She enjoyed reuniting with her six siblings and their families at Flathead Lake as well as connecting with Mike's extended family. She attended local theater, with her close friends, and was an avid gardener with an enviable eye for arranging flowering pots and plants. Gonzaga basketball has lost a HUGE fan - Lois was passionate about following the Bulldogs every season.  This is an unexpected loss and is deeply felt by her family - the world was a much better place with her in it.

Lois is survived by her husband, Mike Peck; daughter, Tracy (Peck) Mikesell, her husband Matt Mikesell, and their son Jackson; daughter, Lisa Peck and her daughters Sophia and Rosalie Minakakis. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Jack Wilson; brothers, Sydney Wilson and Gordon Wilson; and sister, Barbara (Wilson) Morrison.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. More information will be posted. To share memories of Lois, visit her Tribute Wall.
