Tribute

Madelene T. (Calistro) Muse Yeager passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Good Samaritan Village, Spokane Valley, Washington.  Madelene was born on March 16, 1926 at Priest River, Idaho, the daughter of John and Octavia (Fays) Calistro; one of eleven children.  She attended grade school in Otis Orchards, Washington and graduated from Mary Cliff Parochial School, Spokane, in 1944.  She later married and birthed three children, Monty, Mona and Jim.  Her employment included Fiber Form and Key Tronics.  Madelene (Lena) was very athletic; loving the outdoors when fishing and hunting, and enjoying bowling and dancing.  To Madelene, family was her greatest source of pride and friendships were dear.  Survivors include son, Monty (Annie) Dyer, Hot Springs Village, AR; daughter, Mona Stillwell (John Campbell) of Blanchard, Idaho; son, James (Peggy) Muse, Spokane, WA, step-son, Jerry (Rhoni) Yeager, Pismo Beach, CA; and many grand, great and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Julie Costello, Spokane, WA and Mary (Bill) Wallace, Greenacres, WA; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband Nathan L. Yeager, parents John and Octavia Calistro; brothers Marc Van Ecke, Frank Earnest, John Calistro; sisters Mary Francis Zalek, Leona Harris, Josephine Maurer, Anita Pirello and special friend, Don Thompson.  A committal ceremony will be held November 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Spokane Valley, Washington.  A Life Celebration will be at 2 p.m. at Good Samaritan Village, Spokane Valley, WA.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kindred Hospice.
