Marion June (Groh) Aman died October 19, 2018 in Spokane Valley, WA. Marion was born on November 15, 1933, at home, on a farm 8 miles outside of Odessa, WA, to Clem Groh Sr. and Francis (Scrupps) Groh. She was the 5th of 11 children. Her family attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odessa.
As a young girl, Marion learned the values of hard work. She carried those values with her for her whole life.
Marion graduated from Odessa High School in 1952. She moved to Wenatchee and got a job at General Telephone Company, which became Pacific Northwest Bell. She transferred to Spokane and continued working at PNW Bell until her retirement in 1995. Marion also attended beauty school for one year.
In 1967, Marion married Earl Aman. They shared 51 years together and had one son, Jeff. Throughout her life, Marion enjoyed gardening, baking, traveling, going to the casino, and arts and crafts. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter, who was the light of her life.
Marion is survived by her husband, Earl Aman; son, Jeff (Dawn) Aman; granddaughter, Alexa Aman; brothers, Marvin (Sharon) Groh, John Groh, and Tom (Diane) Groh; sisters, Evelyn (Harry) McCartney, Marge Tebow, and Pat (Ed) Jensen and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clem and Francis Groh, her brothers, Clem Groh Jr., and Robert Groh, and her sisters, Helen Pierce and Janice Groh.
A rosary will be said Monday, October 29, 2018, at 7:00 pm at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 503 N Walnut Road in Spokane Valley. The Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 2:00 pm, also at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Spokane Valley.
