Marty L Slocum

Born August 21, 1942 in Colfax, Washington to Charles and Lois Lisenbee, Martha “Marty” Lee Slocum passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 in Spokane Valley, Washington.  A woman who was all about ‘bling and sparkle’, Marty graduated from Oakesdale High School becoming a cosmetologist after attending Beauty school.  She eventually furthered her career as a grocery checker working many years at Tidyman’s Grocery store.  Marrying John McElfish December 19, 1962 and then to Bernie Slocum March 9, 1991, Marty loved spending time with her family, dancing, camping, (Plummer RV Club member), boating, country music, nice cars, especially her 1993 Mustang! Marty is survived by one daughter Tifani T. (Kevin) Miller of Spokane Valley, WA; two brothers Jack (Lyn) Lisenbee of Spokane Valley, WA and Dave (Candy) Lisenbee of Farmington, WA; one sister Connie (Jerry) Kruckenberg of Tekoa, WA; three Grandchildren Taryn Coleman, Talan Durgin, Savannah Miller and four Great grandchildren Dawson Coleman, Nevaeh Lola Durgin, Brinlee Durgin and Kacen Durgin.  Marty was preceded in death by her husband Bernie Slocum and one daughter Heidi Neuhann.  The Memorial Service and reception is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N.
