Born August 31, 1933 in Spokane, Washington to Pat and Donata Michielli, Sr., Pat Michielli, Jr., passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 peacefully at home in Spokane Valley, Washington. Before graduating from West Valley High School in 1951, Pat had already started working with his brother Joe, in what was to become his life long career as a general contractor in their company the Michielli Brothers. It was after graduation that Pat also found himself playing semi-pro in the game of baseball, and in 1959 marrying the love of his life, Caroline, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Spokane Valley, WA. Since sixth grade, Pat and Caroline had been sweethearts and during their 62 year marriage, Pat and Caroline raised three lovely children and had a passion for traveling to Asia and Europe. While visiting Hong Kong, they took a tour to Red China meeting wonderful people along the way, and in traveling Europe, they ran into Dr. Harvey Young, Caroline’s former employer and founder of Valley Hospital, and his wife. Eventually the two couples became traveling companions, spending many joyous years and occasions together. Pat is remembered for his generosity to his many employees, immense love he gave to his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Caroline; Two sons, Dan Michielli (Debbie) and Jerry Michielli (Teresa); One daughter Jacqueline Etter (Jim) and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by his parents Pat and Donata Michielli, Sr., and brother Joe. Memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, local chapter. The Funeral Mass will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spokane Valley, Washington followed by a 2:00 p.m. Committal service at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Spokane, Washington.
