Born in Riverside, CA in 1929. Ralph passed away peacefully on 5-6-2022. Ralph has always been larger than life. Tall in his youth, he kept growing to about 6-8 and made good use of his height playing basketball. A college All-American and one of the leading scorers in the country he chose to attend Whitworth University as they offered him and a close friend both scholarships. He set quite a few records and went on to play for New York and then Philadelphia. He met the love of his life while in Spokane so he returned to marry Shirlee Nelson. He was a teacher at Glover Middle school for over 30 years. Ralph and Shirlee retired together and would spend most winters in Indio, CA and the rest of the time in Spokane. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Shirlee and his daughter Kathy Duncan. He is survived by his sons Matt, Dan, son-in-law Bruce Duncan, his grandson Travis Duncan and great grandson Aiden Duncan.
Based on his wishes no service will be held.
