Richard Kevin Towles

Born October 15, 1959 in Spokane, Washington to William and Joyce Towles, Richard Kevin Towles passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Otis Orchards, Washington.  A University High School graduate from the class of 1978, Richard spent his career working as a conductor for the BNSF Railroad.  When he was young, Richard liked playing sports, bicycling and being outdoors.  As the years went on he developed several interests such as boating, swimming, camping, riding his Harley, watching football and Nascar. Of all his hobbies, fishing in Alaska or Lake Roosevelt was his favorite. Even more than fishing though, he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and his grandchildren. Richard had a unique sense of humor and was always quick with a joke, quote or saying of his own. He was also caring and sentimental.  Photos, letters, cards and gifts from loved ones were his most prized possessions.  Richard is survived by one son Justin Towles; one daughter Amber Kurowski (Cameron); one brother Darin Towles (Pam); one sister Sue Owens (Glenn), three grandchildren, and his father William Towles. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Karen Towles.  A Memorial Service and Reception will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N.
