Ricky Marshalle McDuffie-Drayton, 63, passed away from cancer on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Spokane Valley, Washington. He was born to Betty McDuffie and Willie Bob Singleton on July 20, 1958, in Jonesboro, Louisiana.
Ricky graduated from Whitworth University with a Master’s degree in Chemical Dependency Education. He worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and was a sponsor for many young men. He loved his family dearly, especially his daughter, grandson, and significant other. He loved being a grandpa. Ricky liked to travel and liked going to the casino. He always had people laughing with his great sense of humor and infectious laugh. He was known by all as Uncle Ricky. He was a respected, old soul and loved by everyone.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Betty McDuffie and Willie Bob Singleton, and his sisters, Sheila McDuffie and Pamela Cunningham. He is survived by his daughter, Keyona McDuffie; three step-sons; brothers, Charles McDuffie and Wayne McDuffie, Sr; sister, Minnie Faye McDuffie; grandson, KéVahn McDuffie-Moro; three step-grandkids; nieces, Christina McDuffie, Carmenlita Solis, and Stephanie McDuffie; and nephew Wayne McDuffie, Jr.
