Tribute

Born May 4, 1928 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Garabed and Catherine Moushegian, Robert Garabed Moushegian passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Friday, March 20, 2020 in Veradale, Washington.  After graduation from Lowell High School in Lowell, Massachusetts, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served from 1947 through 1949 as a Remote Control Turret mechanic and then in the early 1950’s served for a time in the U.S. Airforce as a Turret Systems mechanic.  From 1958 to 1988 as Robert’s talent as a technician became specialized, he found himself working with several aerospace companies such as Aerojet Rocketdyne, Lockheed Missile & Space Company, Electric Boat General Dynamics, Submarine Weapons System, completing his career in 1988 as a U.S. Aviation Systems Helicopter Command Specialist. As much as Robert loved aviation, he loved his family more.  He traveled each summer to York, Maine spending time with his sisters and brother and then onto the Pacific North West often to visit his children and grandchildren.  From 1990 to 2012 spending time at the beach while residing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Robert loved to read, follow current events, email his family and friends and stay involved with clubs such as the NRA, Squadron groups and fellow coworkers.  Robert is survived by two sons Eric Robert and Garry Helmut Moushegian; one daughter Katrin Moushegian Smith and one sister Sybil Ann Moushegian; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother Garry T. Moushegian and one sister Eleanor Rose Moushegian.  At this time there are no plans for services.  To share your memories of Robert and leave condolences for the family, please visit his Tribute Wall.
