Tribute

Robert Bryant Robertson was born to parents Robert L Roberttson and Iris Huffman Robertson in Stillwater Oaklahoma on February 28, 1936.  The Robertson family moved to Washington State when Robert Bryant Robertson (known to his friends and family as Bob) was 16 years of age, settling in Inchelium.

Bob met his true love, Genevieve Toulou during high school and they were married June 20, 1955.  In their 65 years of marriage, Bob and Gen had 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildern.

Having set his sights on becoming a pilot, Bob worked long and hard to accomplish this goal.  He served an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering at Great Northern Railroad and took additional part time jobs to support his family while working toward this goal.  His first paid job as a pilot was flying mail from Spokane (GEG) to Boise (BOI).  A talented pilot, he also instructed, teaching others how to fly.  He retired after flying for NA Dagerstrom for about 20 years.

Bob had many friends along his path through life – from NA Dagerstom, the railroad, the Colville tribal community, his extended family and local pals at his favorite hangouts at Felts Field and in the neighborhood.  He was loved and respected by those who knew him.

Bob was preceeded in death by his son Barry, his treasured granddaughter Erica, his parents and his two brothers, Jim and Alvin (“Red”).  His time in heaven started a bit before he had planned, and is greatly missed.
