Robert Ramey Stansbury

Robert “Bob” Stansbury passed away peacefully in Spokane Valley Washington Sunday, May 26, 2019.  Born May 9, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona to parent’s Jack Stansbury and Alice Ramey, Robert lived his life loving God and his family, putting everyone before himself, and never having a bad word to say about anyone.  Graduating in May 1977 from East Valley High School, he married Barbara J. Ebel, June 5, 1977, whom sadly passed away in 2016, and found again, a special love of his life, Wanda Stansbury, whom he married in Coeur d’Alene Idaho July 18, 2018.  Having lived in Salem and Pendleton Oregon, as well as Spokane Washington, Robert had a prosperous 20 year career, retiring as a custodian from Oregon State. Upon retirement he returned to Spokane enjoying fishing, camping, coin-collecting, gardening, canning and exploring old mining towns.  As a member of Christ’s Church in Spokane, Robert is survived by his wife Wanda (Cline) Stansbury, son Robert Stansbury Jr. of Salem Oregon, daughter Susan Harris, Salem Oregon, four brothers Ron L. Douglas, Richard L. Stansbury, Ryck L. Douglas, Mike Stansbury and one sister Sharon Crewsdson of Clayton, Washington.  Robert’s mother Reva Stansbury currently lives in Spokane Valley Washington, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Robert was preceded in death by his father Jack Stansbury, Grandfather Herman Stansbury, Grandmother Ailene Edna (Liddle) Stansbury, sister Mary Kay Lake, and brother Randy L. Jennings.  The Funeral Service and Reception is scheduled for Friday, June 7th 11:00 a.m. at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home Chapel, 1315 North Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, followed by a graveside burial at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park Washington.  To share memories of Robert and leave condolences to the family please visit the Tribute Wall.
