Born September 7, 1941 in Seattle, Washington to Robert E. Vose II and Ethel Fretag, Robert Emery Vose III passed away at home Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Spokane Valley, WA.  Having grown up on the coast of WA, Robert received his BA in teaching from Whitworth College in 1962.  From 1964 to 1969 he was an English and Driver’s Ed teacher at Winthrop High School and from 1969 to 1977 Robert taught at Cle Elum High School.  From 1977 through 1989 Robert entered a new career, where he became a Log Truck driver in the Logging Industry.  He later went back to the education field where he taught Driver’s Training, and later, from 1990 to his retirement in 2012, he served in the Department of Licensing.  In the 1960’s Robert married Karen Corning and in 1980 he started the first community theatre in Cle Elum called the Ember Players.  Robert was preceded in death by his wife Karen Vose in 2014.  He is survived by his son, Paul (Tammy) Vose of Spokane Valley, WA, one daughter Lorna Vose Jones from Cle Elum, WA, six Grandchildren and one Great grandchild.  To leave condolences for the family visit, please visit Robert's Tribute Wall.
