Steven Tyrone Herd, 60, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, in Veradale, Washington. Steve was born on April 27, 1958, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to David “Davy” Lee Herd and Constance “Connie” Jean (Goddard) Herd.
Steve liked golfing, fishing, hunting, and hanging with his wife. He enjoyed playing Texas hold ‘em with his friend Nate. He was also known to keep his yard looking picture perfect.
Steve worked as a technician with CenturyLink for more than 40 years. He attended Valley Real Life and was diligent in making monthly donations to the church and to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Steve was dedicated, loving, and gentle. He was a perfectionist and will be remembered as kind, driven, and silly. All of his friends and family say his best attribute is that he was a great teacher!
Steve is survived by his wife, Dina Herd; son, Valen Herd; daughter, Sarah Erickson; brothers, Troy Herd and Lee Herd; sister, Debbie Herd; parents Davy and Connie Herd; and seven grandchildren. Steve touched many lives and also leaves behind many friends and extended family members who were very important to him.
