Timothy “Big T” David Kenney

Died April 21, 2018 in Spokane Valley, WA
Tim was preceded in death by parents Timothy and Arlene Kenney and brother Jerry Kenney. He is survived by Paula Kenney, his wife of 33 years; son John Kenney (Staci), Sarasota, FL; daughters Cammie Deasy (Mike), Highlands Ranch, CO; and Cheryl Bierwagen (Max), Beaverton, OR; grandchildren Jaryd, Ryan, Paige, Brayden, Nicolas, and Grace; sister-in-law Mary Lou Kenney, Tucson AZ, nephews Brian Kenney, Atlanta GA and Shaun Kenney, Tucson AZ, and numerous extended family.
Tim graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1966 and attended Eastern Washington University. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967-69. After serving as a Washington State lobbyist and a bail bondsman, Tim began a long career in auto sales. He won several national awards for sales, was featured in Dealer World, and participated in panels at several Ford Sales Conferences.Tim was in the Leadership Spokane Class of 1992. He retired in 2014 and has since enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, games, family gatherings, and golfing.
Tim never met a stranger and was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and friend who is loved and missed by all who knew him. He was proud to have served his country and was touched by those who thanked him for his service. He leaves a huge hole in our lives, and he made the world a better place with his presence.
Services are Friday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 13009 E Broadway, followed by a Military Honors Service at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake that starts promptly at 2:15 p.m.
