Troy Martin Pyeatt, age 71, of Spokane Valley, Washington, passed away at home on April 5, 2024. Born in Ione, Washington, on July 11, 1952, to Sheridan Pyeatt and Lydia Tallman, Troy grew up in Eugene, Oregon and Valley Washington, attended high school in Chewelah, Washington and developed a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Throughout his life, Troy worked in various roles that connected him closely with nature and people. He spent many years as a logger and tree faller before transitioning to work as a cab driver, a job that allowed him to indulge in his passion for conversation. Known for his kind heart, compassionate spirit, and infectious humor, Troy could often be found sharing stories and laughs with both friends and strangers alike. His openness and genuine interest in others left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Troy's dedication to his family and community was evident in everything he did. He was a pillar of support and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His hobbies included spending cherished moments with his family and friends, who will miss his presence deeply.

A devout Christian, Troy's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was a cornerstone of his life. His belief guided him through many challenges and enriched his relationships. Troy found profound peace and joy in his faith, which he shared with enthusiasm and sincerity within his community and beyond.

Troy is survived by his only child, Sheridan Pyeatt (spouse Sylvia); ex-wife (Sheridan’s Mom) Carrie Ross, with whom he maintained a close friendship after their separation;  sister, Patty Paladin (spouse Jim); four beloved grandchildren, Maria, William, Gabriella, and Michael Pyeatt; and several wonderful nieces and nephews, including Jim Paladin, Heather Starch, Crystal Martin, Deserae Markert (Andy), Serene Seeger (Eric), Ja'dene Mononutu (Freddy), Jordan Pyeatt (Stacey), and Jamara Pyeatt, and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Pyeatt; father, Sheridan Pyeatt; and mother, Lydia Tallman.

Troy's legacy of laughter, kindness, community spirit, and deep faith will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local charity that supports families in need, honoring Troy's lifelong commitment to helping others and his love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
