Trent grew up in Puyallup, Washington. While attending Pierce College, he was introduced to funeral service and began working at Curnow Funeral Home in Sumner, WA. His first work assignments for the funeral home were delivering paper death certificates to doctors offices, transporting families' loved ones, and assisting people with their pre-planning needs.
After graduating from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Business Management degree, Trent returned to Washington State and continued his work in funeral service. In 2013, Trent was blessed with the opportunity to oversee Funeral Alternatives of Washington, a rapidly growing funeral home with multiple locations in the Puget Sound area.
Excited to immerse themselves in the community, Trent, his wife Amy, and their four children, moved to Spokane Valley in October 2018.

Susie represents the fourth generation to
work for Hennessey Funeral Homes. She graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1980 and
attended Gonzaga University, Spokane Falls Community College and Spokane
Community College. Susie has lived in several places, including Dutch Harbor,
AK, Arkansas, Seattle, and Portland, but returned home to Spokane to raise her
son Charlie and to be with family and enjoy the perks of Spokane. She loves the
four seasons here and enjoys living so close to lakes and winter sports.
After growing up in New Mexico, Jan moved to Alaska, where she worked in the banking industry. She became a full-time mom and moved with her family to Dallas and Midland, Texas. Jan and her husband have lived in the Spokane area for over 20 years. Their three children graduated from Spokane area high schools. Jan has assisted families with funeral and memorial services for more than five years.
Denny grew up in Montana and moved to Alaska, where he began a career in human resources in the oil industry. In addition to assignments in Alaska, Denny held challenging positions in Dallas and Midland, Texas. In Spokane, Denny worked as a consultant to management and taught classes at Gonzaga and Whitworth. Denny and his wife have lived in the Spokane area for over 20 years. Their three children graduated from Spokane area high schools. Denny has assisted families with funeral and memorial services for more than five years.
Becky grew up in Southern California and then attended
Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early
Childhood Education, and met her husband Gary. They have since lived in
Seattle, WA, Kennewick, WA, and Lexington, KY, raising five children along the
way. Becky and Gary moved to Spokane in 2012 to help care for his aging
parents and love the beauty of the area. Becky currently owns a
small business preserving family histories, but she has also worked in education
and several other vocational fields. Volunteer opportunities have
included the Red Cross, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, PTA, and various
positions within her church. Becky enjoys playing the piano, camping,
hiking, biking, boating, and traveling to visit her children and
Colin was born in New Westminster, BC, Canada to American and
British parents. He started in Funeral Service in 1999 earning his associate's degrees in Funeral Direction and Embalming. Colin then moved to Spokane to
marry the most wonderful woman in the world and they welcomed two tortoises and
two pug dogs - Max and Levi - into their home. He is active in Kiwanis and
several volunteer activities and Colin is very passionate about his volunteer
work with marginalized people - though 90% of his social life is with the
Spokane Pug Group.
